Du’as For Palestine and Gaza
We all grew up listening to how a Dua can change destiny if made by a righteous heart with a virtuous intention. Many people turn to prayer as a source of hope when they face adversity, suffering, and conflict. In this era of democratic dominance, several strong leaders turned a deaf ear towards the generation in Gaza. Thus, we got our hands tied in this situation. We have sympathy for our Palestinian brothers, and our heart breaks seeing them in pain.
The only meaningful thing we can do is to continuously pray for them, their safety, health, wealth, freedom, and lives. Dua (supplication) is the eternal part of our beliefs. As our most high-powered weapon, now is the moment to teach the people around us how to make dua. It provides consolation and resilience in the face of constant challenges. This article examines some duas that you can make and the importance and manners of making dua.
Dua for the Palestinians
You can play your part to fight for Palestinians even without alms.
1. Dua For the Protection of Ummah
Here is a Quranic Dua that you must read to support our Palestinian brothers and sisters, as well as people in need all across the globe:
Translation: O Allah! Improve the status of Muhammad PBUH Ummah. Oh Allah! Give ease to Muhammad’s Ummah. Almighty Allah! Please be kind to Muhammad’s Ummah.
2. Dua For the Divine Help for the Palestinians
Another dua for Palestine and Gaza from verified scholars is:
Oh Allah, help and guard the Palestinian people. Please, Allah, take away their agony. O Allah, the Giver of Mercy, have mercy on them. O Allah, may this calamity prompt people to donate from their hearts. O Allah, help people in need wherever they are.
3. Duas For Protection from The Enemy
Dua for dominance over the enemy and the destruction of the enemy:
“O Allah, the one who sent down the Holy Book and judges quickly overthrows clans, shakes them, and grants us the upper hand.”
One of the du’as for Palestine and Gaza is:
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ ظُلْمِ الْمُلْكِ، وَمِنْ شَرِّ الْقَهَّارِ
Allahum’ma in’ni a’udhu bika min dhulmil-mulk, wa min’ sharri al-qahhar,.
“O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the evil of the One in authority and the injustice of rulers.”
4. Dua For Protection from All Directions
O Allah, cover their flaws, assuage their concerns, and safeguard them from before and behind, right and left, and above.
This dua, based on the Prophet ﷺ’s morning and evening remembrances, asks Allah for protection in all directions. It is an appropriate dua for the people of Gaza, besieged by hatred and violence.
5. Duas For Palestine’s Success
Dua for the victory of Palestinians:
Our lord! Please give them the good of this life and the next, and keep them safe from the pain of the fire.
“Oh Lord! Give them courage, solidify their steps, and grant them the advantage against the sceptics.”
حَسْبُنَا اللهُ وَنِعْمَ الوَكِيْلُ
“Allah is our sufficient source, and what a wonderful trustee He is” (3:173) (Surah Al-Imran)
What Are the Necessities of Making a Dua?
Dua made from a righteous, pure heart and intention is all that matters. Learning a specific dua for Palestine and Gaza in a particular language for any concern is optional. A dua offered from the heart is always beneficial, regardless of whether it is stated in the Quran or Sunnah. A heartfelt dua is preferable to one memorably spoken without comprehension or focus. The most essential thing is to focus on our hearts before we get caught up by the specific formulae of different duas.
The Prophet Muhammad PBUH said:
“Allah would not answer a dua from a heart that is not attentive.” [At-Tirmizhii-3479]
But we might struggle to find the right words at times. Our hearts are listening; we can’t speak because our emotions are intense. The Duas stated above are from the Quran, the Sunnah, and the lives of renowned ancestors. They may serve as a launchpad for our cries to Allah at these times.
What Is the Right Time to Pray for Palestine?
Du’as for Palestine and Gaza can be made no matter when since they can be answered anytime. But, at some specific times of the day, month, or year, it is more likely that you’re dua might get accepted.
Such as during the Ramzan. Allah (SWT) bestows enormous kindness on His creation during the final ten days and nights of Ramadan, and duas offered with genuine intention and confidence in Allah’s (SWT’s) approval can result in significant blessings and rewards.
Other times include
• The latter part of the night.
• While travelling.
• During the breaking of the fast.
• In the interval between the Adhan and the Iqamah.
Last but not least,
Do Not Ever Lose Hope In Allah.
Remember! There is nothing more beloved to Shaytan than a hopeless and depressed believer. It might be hard to be hopeful as our misfortunes get more intense. We may be perplexed to see why the relief we have been fervently praying does not materialize.
Although this sensation is, in some ways, very normal, we must remember that Allah’s assistance is closest when we are at our most helpless. His help is most needed when we have run out of options and genuinely rely on Allah to provide a solution.
In Surah al-Baqarah, Allah SWT said:
“Or do you believe that you will enter Paradise with no tribulation having yet come to you, as it did for those who departed before you? They were shaken by poverty and adversity to the point where [even their] prophet and his adherents asked, “When is Allah’s help coming?” Without a doubt, Allah’s assistance is close.” [2:214 of the Quran]
So, keep praying. A single dua might change the fate of Palestine and Gaza.
